These terms apply to the OXSIONSOFT website and software distributed through its official download links. A licence or set of terms supplied with a particular product takes priority for that product where it addresses the same subject. The Privacy Policy explains information handling separately.
1. Using the website
You may browse the website and use its published information for lawful purposes. Do not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, distribute malicious content or misrepresent your relationship with OXSIONSOFT. Information about features, availability and compatibility describes the stated product version and can change as releases develop.
Planned features and future client support are development intentions, not features included in the current download or a commitment to a particular release date.
2. Software and intellectual property
Unless a product includes a separate licence, OXSIONSOFT grants you a limited, non-exclusive permission to install and use software obtained from its official download links for lawful purposes. Software and website content remain the property of OXSIONSOFT or their respective rights holders; downloading a copy does not transfer ownership.
Do not sell, repackage or redistribute the software as your own, remove proprietary notices, or copy protected website material without permission. Modification, redistribution and reverse engineering require permission under the applicable product licence or applicable law. These terms do not restrict rights that the law does not allow us to restrict.
Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licences and notices.
3. Downloads, installation and compatibility
Use the official links and check the platform and version information before installation. Current Jan Privacy Cleaner and MCP Bridge downloads are intended for Windows 10/11 x64. MCP Bridge version 0.3 is currently available for Jan Desktop; additional AI-client support is planned for future updates.
MCP Bridge setup can reuse compatible .NET components or download missing components from Microsoft. Network access may be needed for this preparation. Other applications, model providers and distribution platforms have their own requirements and terms. We do not promise compatibility with every system, client, model or future update.
4. Jan Privacy Cleaner
Jan Privacy Cleaner is a local cleanup utility for selected Jan WebView history and favicon files, with optional cleanup of ordinary Jan logs. It is designed to leave chats, models, settings and thread-cache data untouched and to block cleanup while Jan is running.
Review the selected operation and diagnostic results before cleaning. Maintain appropriate backups of important data. Cleanup removes the targeted local files; it is not a backup service, a guaranteed recovery tool, secure erasure, or a promise that every copy of information held by Jan, your operating system or another service has been removed.
5. MCP Bridge and AI-directed operations
MCP Bridge provides tools that operate on real local files and run PowerShell commands with the permissions of the Windows user running it. It is not a security sandbox for those commands. Changes requested through a connected client can modify or remove files and start processes on your computer.
Connect only clients you trust, protect the connection token and review the permissions and instructions you give your AI system. Back up important projects and verify generated commands and results. Client or model decisions can be incorrect; MCP Bridge cannot guarantee that a model selects the intended tool or completes a task correctly.
6. Games and third-party services
Games, demonstration media, app stores, AI clients, model providers and linked services may have additional rules. Review the terms supplied with the product or service you use. References to third-party products do not imply that their operators endorse OXSIONSOFT or guarantee compatibility.
You are responsible for having permission to process files and other material you provide to an application or AI service. Do not use our software to gain unauthorised access or to infringe another person’s rights.
7. Availability and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and software are provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation, freedom from every error, or suitability for a particular purpose. We may update or discontinue downloads or website features. Keep copies of information you need and evaluate a release before relying on it for important work.
To the extent permitted by law, OXSIONSOFT is not responsible for loss caused by unauthorised modifications, misuse, third-party services, AI-generated instructions or failure to maintain appropriate backups. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.
8. Changes and questions
Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised date. Changes apply prospectively, subject to any notice or agreement required by applicable law. Review the terms accompanying each software release, as a product-specific licence may differ.
